Soccer Symphony (Somers)

Sweat rolled in small beads around Josh's face.

Seetar pushed himself forward, in true pursuit of the ball. The slick turf crunched satisfyingly under his cleats as Josh pushed himself forward. Kicks were exchanged between the holographic players, and Josh followed as best as he could. He was in decent physical condition but not built for soccer like these athletes.

Josh finally got his hands on the ball and began dribbling forward towards the opposing team's goal before the holodeck door opened, revealing a familiar face from the crew of the Invincible.

"Computer, pause program." Pleasently surprised, Josh extended his hands in welcome, opening up the floor to the woman.

USS Invincible - Holodeck 0930 hrs

Half hour later Jasmine arrives outside the holodeck kitbag in hand, it contained a towel and some water. She enters and hears Seetar give a command to the Computer.

"Computer, pause program."

As he turned to face her, with open arms as in welcoming, he was offering the way for her.

"I know of the game Lieutenant, but I have never played it, you will have to show me what to do" She said.

Josh smiled at the Major. "Sure. We'll put you on offense for now... the soccer ball is what you want to pursue. The opposing goal;" Josh paused to point in the direction of the right goal. "is where you want to get the ball into. In soccer you cannot use your hands, at all, unless you are a goalee. A handball results in a penalty. Just chase the ball, keep it out of our goal, and attempt to score."

The condensed summary was pretty incomplete, but Josh was confident that such an adept athlete would catch on. "Computer, resume, restart game."

Josh jogged out onto the field, motioned for Somers to follow, and readied himself for the game.

OOC: I am not too good at describing atheltic moves like in Soccer, so apologies for any mistakes as in sports related.

Jasmine absorbed what Seetar had said an nodded, after that, taking off her Jacket she follows the Engineer on the field. Seetar stands in front of his goal and restarts the holodeck.

Copying the moves she saw in Vintage sports discs, dribbling the ball closer and closer, weaving left and right. Stopping, she eyes the corner and assesses the angle. Then advancing again retaining possession of the ball as she avoids Seetar, when close enough she kicks the ball at he target, it hits the goal post, but does not go in.

Looking thoughtfully at the goal post oO hmm... must adjust angle Oo she thought.

Josh chuckled. At least she had dribbling down.

Seetar sped forward, pushing himself on, passing a few other of the slower holograms. Josh reached the ball along with another 'enemy' player, and the two battled for control. Kicking and almost shoving the two played their best, but Josh overcame the man. He kicked the ball hard, getting it away, and closer to a concentration of his team. Josh pursued the ball as his kick had actually sent the ball into enemy hands. Unfortunately he wasn't fast enough, and the opposing player dooped their goalee and scored.

The enemy team cheered, but this only served to strengthen Josh's resolve. Seetar returned behind the borders and prepared to go again.

Jasmine lined back up on her side as the ball was passed to here.

oO what the hell!! Oo she thought, but quite skillfully doged the holographic players, then she saw Seetar, she looked around and saw a team mate, so she kicked the ball to him.

The player run with the ball up the field, tapping it forward to keep it from the other team. Seetar tackles the player she passed the ball to and come towards her she slide tackles Seetar who only just clears her legs, but it had the desired effect. The ball was passed to one of her team mates.

Getting up and quickly looking back as she ran to support her team mate

"I learn quickly Lieutenant, best not forget that" She said with a playful smile then was gone, she was aware that Seetar was close behind, how close she did not know.
